[five minutes before the Big Bang]

I'm so focused on finishing this project and keep forgetting to post my plans/schedule/ideas.
Here it goes.

Thurs.
I finished shooting ! I used 2 DV tapes for this—the length of the over 1 hour for 3.5 – 5 minutes video. This means lots of editing.

Fri. – Mon.
Concentrate on editing.

I am going to work on editing the music on Monday. It will be aria “Un bel di vedremo” from Madam Butterfly”.

I shot couple shots on Monday.

both outdoor shots and indoor shots.
(actresses were definitely cold. I could tell :( )
I shot outdoor shots in Golden Garden.

Asked Noel couple questions:

1) Stop motion
2) moving images within a short period time that actually occurred in a long period of time
3) "Drawing" in After Effects


Shot another outdoor shot on Tuesday.

I plan to have all of the shots I need by tonight.

Signal: a person holding a radio trying to catch a signal.

Miscommunication: there are two people in the scene. These two people are trying so hard to communicate but there are just keep speaking (not literally “speaking” but “speaking with their own media”) at first. One person stops the other makes this other person “listen”. The first person holding pictures that seem to express something but those pictures are not translating or transmitting the messages that this person trying to express. The other person is dancing to express one’s thoughts and feelings but the same thing happens. The media that people use is different. Different types of media unable us to communicate not just between each other, but between oneself. Our thoughts, our minds, our emotions, and our bodies are “speaking” different things and “each medium” is trying to communicate. A big task that every human have is to concentrate on this communication and act on the one result after receiving and organizing the mean of each medium.

I am also thinking to just shoot myself and actors—kind of a “behind scene”. I will be explaining what I will be shooting and how I want them to act.



To be Oneself/be Naked:

I contacted the confirmed actors and set the date last night. Monday will be a shooting day. Hopefully I get done with shooting by that time.
